Directions from the Skye bridge: follow the A87 towards Portree for about 7 miles. As you enter the outskirts of Broadford you come over the brow of a slight hill and a junction with a slip road is immediately on your left, signposted for the Skye Serpentarium (Reptile House) and Coffee Shop. You might also spot a sign for the "Creelers of Skye" seafood restaurant. Turn left off the A87 and, after about 100 yards, follow the road as it turns right behind the serpentarium, Almost immediately, turn left (a sharp turn) into a narrow road: this is Black Park, though the "Bed & Breakfast" sign might catch your eye before the one that actually says Black Park. Follow this winding road up the hill until you reach a straight level stretch and Taigh Na Bruaich is on your right. The private parking bay opposite is available for your use as well as the drive next to the house.
If you reach the Broadford Village Hall on your left or the Dunollie Hotel, Co-op supermarket and Gulf garage on your right, you've missed the turn! Taking the first safe opportunity, turn around and you'll find the turning on your right less than half a mile back up the road.
Directions from Armadale (ferry crossing from Mallaig): follow the A851 towards Portree - it's about the only road you can drive on for any distance! When you reach the T-junction where it meets the A87, turn left. This puts you on the road from the Skye bridge and you can then follow the directions above.
If using Google Maps or satellite navigation, enter the post code (IV49 9DE) and this should pinpoint one of my neighbours. Usually this will be Hillview (next door) or the International Otter Survival Fund HQ just down the road.
